the moon it looked exhausted, like something you should pity

Well, there it is. It's down to the last week, the last 50 files (and actually, that's a hell of a lot of work), and the last stretch before I get to kick back in the relatively easy process of testing and editing... Yes, the two will be happening simultaneously--there's just no time to do anything else on this massive little game. It'll be fun to frustrate the testing teams, though--they'll be writing up bugs, and with any luck, I'll have fixed them in advance. What better way to use our resources than on a redundant level of testing? Gah. I wish I'd had time to edit this game before it got into the testing phase. I'm loathe to think about the poor testers spinning their wheels writing up bugs on a section I'm actively changing while they're testing it. But that's the way it goes.

Listening: Nick Cave's Murder Ballads--you'll never find a more savage and brutal collection of love songs. Right now, I'm on Death Is Not the End, featuring the holy triumvirate of Nick Cave, PJ Harvey, and Shane MacGowan on vocals. A quick check at the liner notes tells me that Kylie Minogue, Anita Lane, and Blixa Bargeld also chip in on the vocals. Some Thomas Wylder bloke, too. Mmm... Blixa... I just saw Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds this past Monday. So much energy... Such an amazing show. Blixa's showing a little wear and tear, but hey, he's been at this since the early to mid-seventies.

Drinking: Hot water. Leave me alone.

Eating: An apple. One of my teeth feels funny. However, it's surviving the apple test quite nicely, thank you.

Listening: I know, I did this already, but while I was writing, my CD ended, so now I've moved on to the Dead Can Dance box set.
